Stop being a Donkey!

I have seen people talking about fitness and immunity since the pandemic has started. You might have received the messages and forwards that tell you how to boost your immunity. Nowadays you hardly pay attention to those WhatsApp forwards as they used to be in the first wave. Also, we have realized the importance of good health and fitness since the pandemic has taken a toll on it.

Even I had started taking my fitness seriously and did some exercise at home initially. After a few days, somehow I found excuses in the name of office work and a hectic schedule. Eventually, months passed and the second wave of the pandemic was on a high pitch. This time in spite of the same office schedule I could manage to exercise aggressively. Because it was an emergency situation and need of the hour.

Later, when I analyzed these two scenarios where I found that unless it's not urgent, we do not care about it at all. Also, I have to understand the work priorities, and my mind is fully engaged in that all. But, sometimes you get so much involved in the work that you forget to live your personal life literally.

Sacrificing your health, family time, friends, and hobbies due to one single thing is not worth it. Also, justifying it with some solid excuses is totally wrong. Life is a one-time gift, make it a blend of happiness, success, and achievements. Also, let it be a blend of failures, depression, and loneliness. The taste of bitter is necessary to enjoy the sweetness. It's totally okay If you can't balance it. Yes, it's hard to manage all the things at once but you should at least try for it.

So, here comes the life hack, which works for me. You have to flush your mind every time. Every morning you can't do the workout because your mind is having the baggage of your work life. You don't feel motivated, and you don't jump out of the bed. To avoid this, just plan your next day before you sleep and break the previous thought process.

Switching your mind from one space to the other is the most important thing and it's quite achievable. Watching some good videos or web series or listening to music can be wonderful. Even in the morning, you can think about your fitness for 10 min and it will lead to actions. Also, you can join some groups where like-minded people are available. It will boost your mood and lead to actions. It's the most simple thing that can do wonders. So just don't be the donkey when you can be the Horse. The Dark Horse running on the dark racecourse.
