How to handle Instagram carefully!

A few days back, I was watching a renowned movie called 'Satya' which was released back in 1998. It's a critically acclaimed one and has an iconic star cast. But I couldn't complete that because of its length of three hours. But I had watched it in my childhood and still remember it as the nicest movie ever. I found it with the poor screen-ply and weak direction. Nowadays there are lots of improvements in that area. Content creators are designing every single scene very intelligently to keep the audience bound. Also, the attention span of people has decreased drastically.

There was a time when I used to watch three hours long movies straight in a row. After a few days, the length got reduced to around two hours. Then there were some web episodes with some length of an hour and around. I used to binge-watch that as well.

Eventually, the length of the episodes lessened and they made it around half an hour and delivered the same content intelligently. And then came up the Youtube era where creators designed the same content within a span of 6 to 7 minutes only. As per the analytics report released by YouTube, people have an attention span of hardly 5 min for infotainment.

On top of that, TikTok and Reels have changed the game completely. Once you start one reel and within 2 seconds you swipe up If you just don't like it. We spent an average of 45 min on Instagram watching reels continuously. And apart from the entertainment, it's affecting our attention span deeply.

So the point is that we have lost our concentration unconsciously. Our attention span and patience have been decreased due to all these platforms. You can get the reflection of it in many ways. A sudden panic attack or mood swings of a short temper attitude is caused by a low patience level.

So here comes the life hack, just reduce your time on these apps. I repeat, just reduce it, don't stop at once. Increase your attention span by watching long-length movies and binge-watching episodes. I'm not an expert to give advice but this works for me. Even you can think about the best remedies.

you can watch the reels when you're stuck in some thought process. It can divert your mind but shouldn't be addicted to it.

So the bottom line is, just don't be a slave of Instagram and social media. Be the King of it like Bhiku mhatre!

"Mumbai Ka King Koun? —- Bhiku Mhatre"

Cheers!
